Thai food considered to be healthy as the ingredients are always fresh and delicious. This is the key to a healthy eating. The method of preparation for most dishes are steamed or stir fried. Both ways of cooking are very healthy. And special seasonings used in Thai dishes are very healthy, for example galangal root, turmeric, lemongrass, ginger and chili peppers. Due to these ingredients our immune system protects out organism from many diseases and viruses.

Due to cooking methods Thai food remains all the minerals, vitamins and other nutrients in them.

At the same time, you need to be very attentive in the amount of Thai food you consume. Always too much is bad. Same here, everything needs to be in measure. Thai food is full of not common ingredients which you don’t know how your organism will take. At first when you eat you feel the food is very light and it will help you lose kilograms easily. However, Tai food contains big amount of sugar, sodium, palm oil and MSGs (Monosodium glutamate).

This is where the food takes its rich and not common spice. We can try dishes with combination of 4 quite various flavors in one dish – spicy, sweet, salty and sour. At first we like this taste as it kills the mundane dishes we are used to eat. Plain, without much seasoning and the same. Thai people use a big variety of unique seasonings and ingredients and their food becomes unique and attracting.

Go out to a Thai restaurant once in a blue moon and you will get no harm at all, instead you will feel the variety of tastes. Thai cuisine has a peculiarity to cook curries using full-fat coconut milk and loads of oil, Thai people grill meat and salad type of dishes very frequently, they also stir-fry vegetables. Their cuisine is based on meat more than vegetables. Thai people do not much greens as vegetables, they use eggplant, peas, green beans, zucchini, bell pepper, mushrooms, cashews and what not.

And I am not speaking that of course many restaurants will prefer to use canned vegetables in their dishes as they are easier and faster and much cheaper. Canned vegetables are more beneficial to the restaurant owners.

Thailand is very rich in the variety of dishes they offer to their guests from abroad. They have many exotic fruits as well which they use as ingredients to many salads. Thai style sukiyaki or grill provides you with a better balance of vegetables, meat and seafood. In case of noodles you will end up with noodles mostly and almost no veggie there. Their dishes are a great thesaurus of protein add-ins, mainly meatballs and different kinds of meat, seafood and even sea cabbage, eggs, mushrooms.

Some specific dishes contain pak boong which is a swamp cabbage. Other harmful ingredient is palm oil and Thai people use it a lot in these dishes. Palm oil is a threat for your health as this is a saturated fat which is increases cholesterol levels which will affect your heart.

Sugar is the second worst ingredient that is widely spread in the modern diet. MSG is yet another food additive and a flavor enhancer to Asian food, in many processed foods. This is considered to be a silent killer because this deteriorates organism slowly and slowly.

Eat Thai food as much as you like, enjoy the special flavors but keep in mind that you need to do this in measure.  Make sure you eat enough vegetables as a combination to unique Thai dishes.
